It is the ultimate Sydney Harbour experience incorporating team building, active participation, healthy competition and a great deal of excitement and fun. A day spent sailing on these magnificent racing yachts, relaxing in the comfort and luxury of the catered mothership on our wonderful harbour, is an unforgettable experience.

Each of the yachts is crewed by a professional five man racing crew and skipper, and the teams of guests (up to 15 people) make up the balance of crew required to race each yacht. Teams race head-to-head in a series of heats and finals, with win points and deltas (time differentials) determining the ultimate victors for the regatta.

Nowhere in the world is this type of challenge available, except to the lucky few - a domain usually only open to the highest echelons of professional yachtsmen. The 'Kookaburra Challenge' will leave your guests with the experience of something totally unique that they will talk about for months to follow.

Design a Special Event

The beauty of the 'Kookaburra Challenge' is its flexibility - we can design and tailor a package specifically to meet your group's needs and budget. Our suggested format for a full day event is to commence with registration at Darling Harbour at 9:00am, however timings can be varied to suit a half day program held during the morning or afternoon. The type of event depends upon how much time your group has available and how many guests wish to participate in the racing. Programs can be designed to accommodate all group sizes, from 10 to over 300 guests.

Why not maximise your exposure on the harbour and reinforce your corporate identity with your guests? There are a number of options available including:

Spinnaker signage - huge logo signs at an approximate cost of $1,500 + GST per spinnaker (depending on artwork).
Team Polo shirts, jackets or caps with your company logo and Kookaburra Challenge logos.
Professional photographer for the day - capture your event on stills or provide your guests with a professionally produced DVD as an excellent memento of their day.
